Thought I would share some recipes I've been trying and we've been enjoying! First up is Julie Bauer Roth's Instant Pot Creamy Gnocchi Soup.  It's loaded with so many good vegetables and full of flavor!  Follow her instructions on how to make the gnocchi and use a GOOD nonstick pan.  I used my stainless steel one and they can tend suck monkey nuts when it comes to sticking...

I had the honor of attending Dr Wahls' seminar and retreat this August. For those of you who don't know, Dr Wahl's was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2000.  By 2003 she progressed to secondary progressive MS and due to the increase in progression of the disease and weakness she began using a tilt-recline wheelchair.  You can read more about here full story here. I've seen Dr Wahl's talk a few times over the past 5 years and I have to say each time I see her she looks...

You should read this book if you want to improve on ANY relationship in your life.  Unless you have a Mother Theresa mindset and can get along with every and anybody then maybe you don't need this book - lol! Are you married? A parent? In leadership?  Do you have family members or co-workers that are in your life and you have an antagonist relationship with?  Do you have difficulty getting along with those people and just want to find peace with that relationship and have a healthier approach?...

The Great Sand Dunes was our first stop on our Southwest National Park Tour this summer.  The Dunes are located in Colorado next to the Rocky Mountains, not your typical dessert vibe location. It's pretty cool to drive up and see these big sand dunes next to the mountains.  The day we visited was overcast and a little cool temperature wise, this ended up being the best thing as far as enjoying our time in the dunes.  In the summer the sand temperature can get up to 140...

Hi All!  I thought I would write a little post about what I do.  When I was looking for an inspiring image to relate to, I came across this picture of my son Colin.  This was taken last summer when were up 12,000+ feet in the Grand Teton mountains - it was amazingly beautiftul.  To me this picture says to me, "I'm on top of the world taking in all the beauty and wonder around me."  He is living his best life!  Don't we all just want to...

I am loving having smoothie bowls for breakfast these days.  It's great alternative for lunch too!  You can load them up with all kinds of healthy goodness and they taste good too.  I find that I enjoy eating a thick creamy smoothie bowl as to drinking smoothies.  Must be a texture thing for me; it's like eating ice cream except it's all good for you and STILL tasty! Another thing that I found  A-MAZING for me was how it helped my digestion.  Now, this may get a little TMI...

Happy Friday Friends! Dr Sherry Brewer is my Friday favorite this week! I met Dr Brewer when I started working at the VA Clinic as she works there as an Internal Medicine doctor. The first time we met we just clicked! We share alot of the same interests and passions from scrapbooking to decorating. Sherry introduced me to Health Coaching, read about that here.   Sherry has a huge passion for wellness which drove her to getting board certified in Functional Medicine AND Integrative Medicine these past few years. She discovered...

Hello friends! I thought I would share with you about my journey to becoming a Holistic Health Coach. I first became a nurse at age 19!! Kind of crazy right?? To be clear, still am a nurse;). I went to a 2 year intensive RN program, was the youngest in my class and boom! I started out working in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and LOVED it! I actually, worked in some sort of critical care unit most of my nursing career thus far. I loved the fast...
